Really really good for the price
jplebre 25.03.2020
As other reviews suggested, this isn't the sturdiest stand, the easiest stand to operate, but for the price you can't go wrong!

I decided to get one to try it with small action cameras for streaming. It comes with 2 different mounting methods that work really well. The stand is stable enough that it doesn't shift with vibrations of loud drumkits and people jumping, and kept the camera angle perfect for a couple of weeks now.

I can see it working well even with slightly heavier mics, but not with super heavy mics.

As per other reviews, the ratchet system used to set the stand angle and height is not the best, but still perfectly functional. If you have an heavy mic you might want to keep an hand on it when you unscrew the ratchet-like screw otherwise it might fall quicker than you anticipate.

Cable included is not super high quality but it's perfectly usable, despite what other reviews say. I wouldn't trust it on a stage or busy studio environments but it's meant to be installed (as it's inside the stand) so really not much of an issue there. I really doubt the other reviews that claims that that the cable sounds *bad*.

Okay.
Imaginary 05.06.2023
This tripod is well made but a bit limited so buyer beware.
It can be turned around and set lower or higher on the table, however, we can't really do much with the position of the microphone and the knobs never seem to completely tighten, no matter the strength we apply.
The integrated cable is a big plus. Makes everything tidy.
It is an okay buy if one just wants to have a microphone stand on the table for streaming or chatting.

It won't drop your microphone!
robbasaur 18.05.2017
Well, see the thing is when I decide to start recording acoustic stuff and vocals I needed something to hold up the mic I bought. Since that I will be mostly using the mic for podcast and video audio I thought it would be better tot buy a stand for the table, so it became this one. the coolest thing is if you should have a glass table you are able to use the clamp that is delivered with, you don't have to screw it into your table. A minor issue is that even though you are able to tighten tings real good for maximum stability, you lose a lot of the freedom to move. but hey for the price you can't beat it. Cheers.

A bit clunky, but fits my needs
JeebeeZ 10.03.2018
I was looking for a nice and small mic stand that I could attach to a shelf, which is hanging over my digital piano.
This does the job perfectly. It's nice and small, firm enough and the quality is very passable for this pricepoint.

One thing to note: If you want to adjust the hight, you have to turn the wheel on the side and then it is adjustable in set step. Each step will make a loud CLUNK noise. Doesn't bother me, really. But just thought I'd mention it.

Other than that, great product for the price.

Solid enough
Myownroadie 07.08.2019
The build is solid enough and works fine - but a little worrying if using the larger, heavier, large diaphragm mics - There is various mounting options, which I haven't fully explored yet. The cable is fed through the stand and this prevents you from completely removing it without damage - but it does keep everything neat and tidy. I think some cables are better than others - this integrated one is mediocre

Update : The integral cable failed - [ my clumsiness - nothing to do with quality ] so I removed this and used a better one - which until I made a solid base and screwed the thing down - kept drooping - The base had to be solid and heavy to keep things stable - The integral cable is short and light for a reason - now I learn - I wasn't willing to screw this into my table - and the clamp would also have left it's indentation - so it is a picky thing - unique to me and it wouldn't be fair to condemn this product because of that - However ' I ' would 'not' recommend this if you use expensive - heavy mics

The microphone cable that comes with tripod make some noises. I changed it to another with better quality. Otherwise-a great tripod. I fixed it on the ceiling for more convenience.

Good for Small Spaces
D.J.S 09.04.2020
If you're like me, you might be working on a small budget and with a small space.

This stand is bundled with its own integrated XLR cable, saving you the trouble of having to tie up excess wire. This integrated cable is also the cause of one of its minor downfalls, restricting how far you can move the arm with the microphone. This restriction can make it a little top-heavy depending on your microphone, so absolutely use either the clamp provided with the stand or screw down the basic stand you also receive with it. Mind you, I didn't get any screws with the stand so make sure to have some one hand.

I can't fault the stand from that though, it's a fine stand for what it's worth and defintely does the job.

I wanted a small microphone stand , as I have a small space to work from.

Taking out of the box, I noticed that the stand is sturdy and well built, simple to use-

There are two things to consider with this product.

The base of the stand although, well made is actually too small, the stand itself becomes top heavy the moment you add a microphone to it. At the moment it has a Marantz. MPM- 1000 on it. The Xlr cable that comes with the stand is inbuilt (the quality of the cable is fine). If you want to shorten the boom handle , to quite close to the microphone, you won`t be able to, as the point where the cable pops out of the boom handle stops you from doing this.

The nuts and bolts are good, the clamp, screws, do the job. The stand overall does the job. Except the base.

I won`t be sending it back, but what I will be doing, will be to find a bigger base that will fit it

Again Thomann service has been great!

Really handy for a talkback mic
SDWave 23.02.2021
Great for use as a talkback mic, Two mounts a temporary vice mount and a solid three screw permanent mount. Only negative is that the permanent doesn't have any rubber or foam underneath which means that vibrations can really affect a condenser microphone
