Terrible drum set, not even a deal
This set has been more of a hassle than it would’ve been to just save up more money and get a better one.
To start off, when I was putting everything together, the first problem was that the hi-hat stand was SQUEAKY when pressing the pedal down… and it was leaving black dry “liquid” on my hand whenever I would touch the chains or basically any metal part of the mechanism, which is already unacceptable, but, as I was a beginner I chose to let it go and hoped that I wouldn’t encounter any other problems. It wasn’t even comfortable to use. In the end I just bought a better hi hat stand, which obviously costed me more money.
Then, the second problem, the Tom stands, then the third problem, the snare stand, two more stands to buy (although the snare stand can be used as a temporary solution for one of the mounted toms).
And now, as I wanted to finally put a better batter head on my snare drum, the worst of all, the one that is going to be even more costly than getting a better cymbal pack, the snare drum lugs are rusted on the inside, the finish is flaking, and sometimes the screws just refuse to even turn because of how awful the threads are. Even if I manage to screw these back in and tune the drum, it’s probably only a matter of time until they become unusable, and at that point a replacement snare would probably be better, rather than to replace them with the same garbage lugs.
All these issues keep setting my finances back more often than if I would’ve just gotten a proper drum set in the beginning and then just a good cymbal pack and at this point I invested so much that I can’t just ask for a return, I do not recommend buying this set, just get something with better hardware, not necessarily premium drums, just not awful, barely functional hardware.
They also didn’t give me a sleeve for the ride cymbal and a felt big enough for the crash, which means that the ride was in metal to metal contact the whole time and the crash was wobbling around like crazy.
The hi-hat and crash are not even beginner level, they feel and sound like low quality toys.
The throne doesn’t stay in place and just unscrews itself, it’s also barely adjustable.
