Either I am extremely unlucky or this pedal isnt great quality
lexkab 18.08.2020
This pedal is not bad for its price I guess but I had issues with it from the very beginning. I will list
- the connector did not want to connect to the right pedal - either the hole is too small or the bolt too big
- on the left side its the opposite - the connector slips out every 5 min of playing(mind you I am no Tomas Haake and just starting with double bass so it was not that intense) so i keep having to attach it back, no matter how i tighten the bolts its still not enough
- after i assembled it once and played, it broke after 2 minutes - main pedal had some loose bolts at chain / beater holder side and I spent 1 hr trying to put it back together(that screw is awkward to get to)
Overall I suppose its okay pedal if you starting, but if you aren't(especially if you are doing the gigs) look elsewhere as it might fail you at most awkward moment

These pedals are good for someone who wants to learn double-pedal drumming - but only for learning the basics. I've had these for a number of years (with an old model, it goes without saying) and I feel like on this side of its age, it's definitely worth investing in something better like Iron Cobras.

You can't really complain about how much you pay for vs. Your playing experience with these. However it must be said that you do not get much with these pedals other than just two pedals.

The board of these pedals seem to be quite nice, although not as smooth as other pedals out there, it does the job fine. You're unable to angle the beaters properly so you have to just work with the spring tension instead.

The spring tension system itself is not really the best I have to admit, there's a lot of wrestling and fighting with it to get it to the tension you'd like.

The alan screws themselves are pretty cheap and do rust quickly, I had one break on me, but Thomann had it replaced for me which was nice.

Overall, not too shabby, but also not something to shout home about. Good to pick up as a starting point, but better to save your money and not buy twice.

Good pedal for a fraction of the price, reminds me a lot of pearl eliminator redlines for a fraction of the cost

Does as the price reccomends

As this is the cheapest double bass pedal I ordered it just for using a double bass pedal and I can say. It does the trick but can get rusty and faulty quickly so it is a good beginner double bass pedal but should be upgraded after

Comes with a bag!

Right foot pedal came off almost immediately. Probably fixable, but mildly annoying. Does come with a bag though.

Good for value

It's a reasonable budget double bass pedal if you need one for starting, practicing, testing, etc, but don't expect much from it.
The build quality is not the best, the build feels a bit unstable and the left pedal started squeaking pretty fast and it kept hitting the metal base when playing. There are some problems with the responsiveness of the left pedal as well but all of these problems can be fixed with good and careful adjustments and then is not as bad.

Good and cheap starter double pedal
Anonymous 29.09.2016
Although mine started to fall apart after a year or so of rock/metal beating, I can say that it is a very good starting point for any drummer. Considering brand name pedals are more than double the price, and you don't necessarily buy the best double pedal when starting to learn how to drum, I would recommend this pedal for a starting point and if budget is the issue.

I wouldn't call it profesional. After a few months the foot plate broke in two. Also its quiet big. Not very handy. I would go for chip series from well known brands

Great double bass pedal for a beginner!
Anonymous 21.12.2015
I bought this 2 years ago because i didn't have any experiencie with double bass, so i had to start somewhere. Since i didn't knew how i would like it, i bought the cheapest ones available in case i wouldn't like them, i wouldn't have much of a loss. 2 years later, i've been liking them so far, but they got some type of looseness. They still work, but they are not as good as new. I don't know if it was because of my lack of experience or something like that, but they didn't survive as i was expecting. But... considering the price, they are a good investment if you, like me, want to learn how to double bass.
