Great for small rooms
Ivan E. 28.08.2020
We have a band room around 4 by 5 meters. It's better to keep instruments more quiet in such a small space for better readability of any single instrument. These cymbals help a lot in this case. They are impossible to play loud.

Pros:
- they are quiet (like really-really quiet). I can smash the crashes with my full power and they still will be quieter than toms/snare drum
- they are cheap. I put them on the drumkit and I don't care if bass player or guitarist plays them
- they are light! easy to carry around
- look a bit like cheese, if you like cheese like me, that's a bonus

Cons:
- the edges of the holes are not very neat. I actually cut my skin on an index finger by simple carrying ride cymbal with it (using it kind of like a stand). That's usually not a problem with normal cymbals
- the sound is more on a hissing side, hi-hat sounds especially nasty when open. In my opinion, they are not good for recording or any kind of live situation (at least for music I am playing). Might be good only if loudness is an issue, but you might also just take lighter sticks/play quieter and not sacrifice sound quality of normal concert cymbal set.

Overall, good inside a small room. Not good for recordings or concerts.

J
Gorgeous to play, even nicer to look at!
Jodie2021 22.08.2021
As I have been practicing mainly on the higher-end and much higher priced Zildjian silent cymbals in my classes, I was pleasantly surprised with these. Yes, there is of course a difference in sound quality, but not major or anything that would flaw them as a whole. Quite a striking addition (pun intended) to a second hand kit, both in appearance and functionality. No complaints from the overly sensitive neighbours either so far. Would recommend these.

B
Excellent for practice
Benplaysdrums 25.03.2020
In my opinion the Millenium Still series cymbal are excellent for players who may not have to opportunity to make a lot of noise. These great sounding cymbals are a cheap way to lower to volume of your home studio drastically. I was planning on purchasing the Zildjian L80s for a long time however upon reassuring myself that i was making to right decision, I can across the Still series. The first thing i noticed was that the Stills were €50 less expensive and included an extra crash. As a person who uses many crash cymbals this drew me in right away. After reading numerous reviews about the cymbals I decided that they were the way forward and i am very happy to have purchased them. They are great for use in apartments or other areas with many neighbours in close proximity. Can even be used in some small, quiet gigs, especially the hats have a nice tone. Thin, Light cymbals. Not for recording. Great for practice. Very quiet. WOULD DEFINETELY RECOMMEND!!!

I
Wow! Impressed! perfect for drum lessons and practice.
IvarsLogins 09.10.2023
I bought this set to use teaching drum lessons. And I'm impressed - for this price range - wow! I was skeptical, thought it would sound like aluminium pot lids.. but they do not sound bad at all! The ride is extremely quiet, yes, but overall - for practice and drum lessons - absolutely must-have! Feels and behaves like a normal cymbal the students develop a correct techique, just.. quieter!

One of the best purchases I've made, great product!!
Mofo 09.05.2020
So glad I finally bought these! After a couple of months of having these in my basket the coronavirus lockdown boredom pushed me to finally make the purchase.

So impressed. Firstly they look great, I know it's not really about that but the silver finish looks amazing.

I'm so surprised by the sound quality, they're excellent, they feel and sound like real cymbals... but at a volume I can talk/sing over easily.

I plan to use these for practice but after playing them I think they'll work well for home demo recordings as well. Admittedly I've never tried any other brands but at this price and sounding this good, I'm happy and won't be looking to upgrade any time soon.

One of the best musical instrument type purchases I've ever made. Great value, great sound.

Great for practicing
Sonap 03.03.2022
They're great to understand the feel and learn how to play your cymbals right. I've been playing on an e-kit all my life and having real cymbals to practice on is really good. Also the sound volume is greatly reduced compared to real cymbals ( the hihat is kinda loud though but its still moderately quiet). These are not for recording obviously but will be of great help to any drummer that lives in an apartment or a great upgrade to a drummer that uses e-drums.

Brilliant value
DRaven77 24.11.2023
These low noise cymbals might not sound as good as the big brands but do you need amazing sounding low noise cymbals? My son has been using these for these for around 3 years, combined with mesh drum heads he practices everyday in our terrace house with no complaints from the neighbours. They work perfectly as an analog for where his “loud” cymbals will be. Having these has improved his drumming immensely.

Great quality at the price
DrummerMoe 25.05.2020
I use these for practise with my band. When I got them I thought they felt light and possibly a bit flimsy, so made a mental note to be gentle on them (I can be a heavy hitter). I had no need to. They're far stronger than I expected and are still looking great after 6 months of 3+times a week practise for 4hrs minimum.

The sound of them in isolation seems very thin and I found myself wondering if they would cut through a band, but they do without the ear-piercing to go with it but for anything more than an acoustic/gentle jazz they would certainly get lost on stage.

We did make some scratch recordings for reference and somehow they came through the mic's (recorderman and kick) with great balance against regular acoustic shells and snare.

It would be great to see some fx cymbals for the 'All options' feel, however for what I use them for I'm more than happy and will probably buy a 2nd set for home use when funds allow.

P
Amazing quiet cymbal set for the price
Pipsymbol 01.03.2021
Millenium Still Series Cymbal Set is a basic cymbal package containing Hi-Hat, 2 Crashes and a Ride. It's intended for home (ie. quiet) practice but can come handy for rehearsals too as you don't have to practice under extreme volumes with your band.
This set really does the job as advertised and I would highly recommend it to both beginners and more advanced drummers. Build quality is surprising for this price tag and the sound is exactly what you would expect from quiet cymbals. If needed you can expand the set with individual cymbals available at Thomann, such as China, Splash or more Crash Cymbals.
BTW I even had these recorded and can't complain how it tuned out under set of condenser mics! It does the job for a decent demo recording!

HC
Very good
Happy Customer PL 17.01.2019
Big and cheap set. Practice work horse. I don't care about sound, I care about volume and Millenium set works great on that front. I have much pricier set Zildjian Gen 16 and Millenium set is still OK for me. I can beat them without thinking about price. With Gen 16 I don't have this level of comfort.
