It is such a good deal!
It has very resonant and warm sound. The very unique timbre of Boxwood. The response is good and the tone quality is very even between different registers. Also, it is easy to be played and controlled by a young player.

Perfect allrounder
After having played in the Mollenhauer Denner soprano in castello boxwood, I would say that this is an excellent all rounder and the perfect instrument for someone wanting to move from a a plastic recorder and upgrade to a wooden one. It blends perfectly with an ensemble, but has enough depth of tone to stand alone. It is capable of some lovely overtones- warm in the lower register and very clear in the upper. High notes speak easily. Definitely a good investment for the keen player.
