great little instrument; tuning hard though

This picco in baroque fingering is a lovely little instrument and a great alternative to a full size flute for travels or just for a different wooden sound. It isn't easy to play though, particularly the second octave is quite hard to get perfectly in tune. A beginner might find this challenging, but compared to the price of a flute it is still a good way to learn if switching from recorder.

eine echte Entdeckung

Dieses Instrument an der Schnittstelle zwischen Sopranblockflöte und Querflöte ist eine echte Entdeckung. Mit den Griffen der Sopranflöte und dem Blasansatz der Querflöte hat man hier ein Instrument, dass noch runder und voller klingt, allerdings sehr viel Luft braucht. Damit ist es auch ein guter "Test", ob eine Querflöte in einem bestimmten Alter (wegen der Luft) schon begonnen werden kann. Mit der Größe kommt man bestens klar. Trotzdem ist es selber vollwertig und man kann hoffen, dass es in Zukunft selber öfter zu hören sein wird. Auf jeden Fall ein - zu diesem Preis - lohnenswerter Versuch!

Bel instrument

C'est un très bel instrument, aussi agréable à jouer et à écouter qu'à regarder.

Je suis assez mauvais encore, je débute les flûtes traversières, et j'ai du mal à avoir un souffle avec le bonne angle et obtenir la clarté sonore désirée, mais ce n'est qu'une question de travail... car j'ai le plaisir de temps en temps de sortir une jolie suite de notes justes et claires, alors je sais que ça ne vient pas de l'instrument mais de moi-même !

J'apprécie aussi le fait que le doigté soit quasiment le même que le doigté baroque d'une flûte à bec, un instrument que je ne maîtrise pas trop mal. Contrairement aux fifres Yamaha, Aulos et compagnie, qui possèdent des doigtés qui font des nœuds au cerveau.

Merci à Mollenhauer pour ce beau piccolo en bois, à ma connaissance, vous êtes les seuls à en produire dans cette matière ! Des luthiers en font bien-sûr, mais ce n'est pas à la portée de ma bourse.

Ein besonderes Instrument - macht Spaß!

Die Picco reizte mich, da ich sowohl Blockflöte, als auch Querflöte spiele. Dies ist ein Instrument, dass beide Flötenarten vereint. Sie hat einen sehr schönen Holzklang, der aber schon deutlich nach Querflöte klingt. Nur das Handling ist sehr gewöhnungebedürftig, da die Flöte ja quer gehalten wird, aber sehr klein ist. Um den Ansatz zu üben und für Umsteiger von Sopranblockflöte auf Querflöte bestimmt toll! Gerade für Kinder kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es ein tolles Übergangsinstrument ist.
Momentan klingt sie noch ein wenig heiser, was sich sicherlich nach dem Einspielen bessern wird.
