Monacor PB-05E

This was recommended to me by a live sound engineer friend of mine to reduce the signal of my mic at live shows (especially when I'm only contributing backing vocals). Helps give a less chaotic signal to the board, and keeps the overall mix a lot more clean and controllable.

This thing is a fraction of the cost of the branded unit with the only difference being the bypass button. Works like a charm has even out survived the more expensive one 10/10 would recommend.

Works good, a bit plastic quality so it has to be handles very gently.
Mainly used for drummers vocal microphone.

The Monacor PB-05E is a very good product that performs its intended function excellently. However, the biggest downside is its build quality and finishing. For the price, it feels somewhat cheap, both in appearance and to the touch. A metal housing or at least higher-quality plastic would have been a significant improvement. That being said, it does the job well and works as expected. Overall, I recommend it!

I'm using this opto-gate on drum vocals and it's doing the job great, no snare, no hihat bleed in to the microphone when musician is not singing. It's made of plastic and it's look fragile. It just great tool to have.
