envelope is strange
STk3000 15.07.2019
like all moog synths the envelope is kind of strange.

you can get used to it just expect it to have a mind of it's own.

other then that, you get the moog sound, even if it is a bit harsh on the mids (i know it's supposed to be for bass) and highs, no where near a full moog but still the same flavour.

Good, but limited
Andre1865 14.10.2016
As far as small mono synths go the minitaur is quite middle of the road in this authors opinion. it has a nice range of sounds and is a nice package in that its quite small and obviously very easy to use BUT having said that, i think its quite limited architecture leaves me wanting something more.. i found it very easy to exhaust all of its possible sounds .. Great for live use though if you just need basic subtractive synthesis.. and the moog knobs feel good..

This is not a love song (Sorry)

I was looking for a nice analog outboard synth. And ofcourse like anyone would be, i was tempted by the awesome Moog Filter option, by means of external audio input! But since the product was released several years ago, physically it hasn't changed and most of the cool stuff added are hidden under the hood.
Definately a nice module to fiddle around with (Being a Moog, obviously) but not so for me as it didn't work with my personal setup in ways i would have liked to see it. Would be nice with all the power packed into this little Minotaur Monster if Moog had updated the actual hardware too, meaning: like more knobs, preset selection and such for live tweaking away from that aweful screen...

So to round up and not be a complete turd about it: Nice gear if you want to learn all button combinations (for added features over time), but i just wanted an out-of-the-box hands-on synth, sorry.... i'm but a simple turd, not a professor with great memory, who likes to physically twist knobs around and be adventurous.
