Geniale Entwicklung!
Nach stundenlangem Probehören im gut sortierten Abhörmonitor-Raum bei Thomann habe ich mich für die kleinsten Boxen von Neumann entschieden. Preislich hätte ich mir auch die Neumann KH 310 oder die KS Digital A200 geleistet. Nachdem ich aber sehr nahe an den Boxen sitze (ca. 1 Meter) und ich keine große Lautstärke brauche, sind diese schönen kleinen Boxen mit dem sehr dichten und ausgewogenen Klang völlig ausreichend! Wunderbarer Sound! Was die Entwickler in den letzten Jahren erreicht haben ist großartig. Ein Kompliment an das Neumann Team und ein Dankeschön an Thomann für die Zeit und Beratung!

Sehr gute Lösung für mein kleines Homestudio
Nachdem bei meinen früheren Monitoren ein Defekt aufgetreten ist, benötigte ich neue Nahfeld-Monitore.
Die KH 80 mit DSP sind für mein kleines Studio eine optimale Lösung. Aufgrund der Platzverhältnisse sind sie recht dicht an der Wand und in den Ecken. Durch das Einmessen und die DSP-Konfiguration wird trotzdem ein recht ausgewogener Klang erreicht.
Natürlich kann das Prinzip keine optimierte Raumakustik vollständig ersetzen.
Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei. Die mögliche Lautstärke inkl. Basswiedergabe für die kleinen Boxen beeindruckend und mehr, als in meinem kleinen Raum notwendig.

Excellent monitors
I should mention first that the loudspeakers position in my room is far from optimal as they do not even keep any symmetry with the axis of the room. However, I've put them on bases so that they were level with my ears. Once installed and plugged I launched the Neumann.Control iPad App, but the two speakers were not recognized by it. I contacted Neumann support on last Friday night and the next Sunday (yes Sunday) I received an email recommending resetting the speakers. I did so and then everything went smoothly.
As expected in an untreated room, the sound of the uncalibrated monitors was very colored. Applying the App room eq. wizard, the sound improves a lot, but is still colored mainly around the usual problematic frequencies (50/300 Hz).
To get the best results I measured the room response with REW and with Sonarworks Reference 4 Measure. The result of both tools was very similar as expected.
With the guide of these graphics and still with the Neumann App I’ve manually setup its parametric equalizer (independently for each monitor) and apply it to the Neumann DSP system. The result has been excellent and the sound of these small monitors fabulous. I’m really impressed.

Hier muss mal wohl kaum noch etwas dazu sagen
Diese Dinger sind einfach grandios. Der gerade Sound, die Möglichkeit der Kalibrierung..... Neumann eben! Ich arbeite seit Jahren damit sehr effektiv und gleichzeitig macht es Spaß!

Neumann Qualität
Ich habe die Monitor im Heimstudio für Werbe-/Videoton-/Sprecherproduktionen im Einsatz und sie sind - wie man von Neumann erwarten kann - grandios. Trotz der geringen Größe ist die Basswiedergabe sehr gut. Ansonsten klingen sie in meinen Augen neutral.
Die Verarbeitung ist ebenfalls super. Mir gefällt die XLR Anbindung. Leider gibt es keine Vesa-Gewinde für eine eventuelle Montage mit entsprechenden Halterungen.
Bei den Features gibt es 2 Sterne Abzug weil der Release für die DSP Software schon zweimal verschoben wurde und damit die eigentlichen Features der Monitore nicht genutzt werden können. Hoffe der Termin mit "Mitte 2018" wird nun eingehalten!
Fazit: Extrem cool für diesen Preis, wenn dann endlich die Software da ist.

gewohnte Qualität
Ich arbeite für ein Radioprojekt und benötige lineares, sauberes Monitoring. Im Zusammenspiel mit meinem Neumann MT48, dem Sub und einer Einmessung mit dem Messmikrofon kann ich nur sagen: WOW. Wie gut kann Monitoring sein? Selbstverständlich hat jeder ein eigenes Klangempfinden. Aber das Zusammenspiel aller Neumannkomponenten sorgt auf jedenfall für meine Gehör, für das Beste Erlebnis.

Unglaublich....
......der Klang. Kaum zu fassen bei der Mini-Größe. Klasse Verarbeitung (Neumann-Like). Preis-Leistung passt.
