After a couple of months it started to fall apart....
Not very happy with this purchase. After a couple of months it started to fall apart, and I didn't notice it until I had one of my "gear-care"-days. These type of Neutrik contacts are not really well suited for guitars, in my opinion. They're just to big. I'm now using a flatter contact.
It did however work like it was supposed to for the first couple of months. I could plug and unplug without getting loud "pops" in the PA. But I need my gear to last longer than this, and to take plenty of road-abuse without falling apart.
So no, I cannot recommend this product. But please Neutrik, keep trying, it was a great idea!

SILENT JACK
The angled version is a little fragile and frequently bends enough to jam the sliding switch collar (which operates an on/off reed switch) in the on position - when you unplug, it reacts like a normal plug. The straight version would probably be better. The one I use for gigs is very unreliable (so far as silent plugging is concerned) but the one which I use at home is fine. Much cheaper and reliable to turn the amp down before unplugging!
