K
Brilliant design, rugged yet easy to terminate
Kaiviti 30.12.2019
I've been a huge fan of Neutrik connectors since the first one I bought many years ago. I usually make my own cables since i am handy with a soldering iron and I prefer to choose the cable, cable lengths and connectors. Neutrik connectors are very well designed both to make fitting them to the cable as easy as possible but at the same time the construction is simple and very, very rugged. I think you would be very hard pressed to beak one of these even if you tried.

The jack itself is also a very good shape and mates well with most (if not all) jack sockets. It is resistand to wear and tarnish so they just work. They are maybe a little long for use on a cramped pedalboard but otherwise they are about as near perfect as you can get.

Absolutely The Best!
Anonymous 04.01.2017
I've been using Neutrik plugs exclusively for nearly 20 years. I make all my own cables and ONLY use Neutrik. I have one cable that goes from my guitar to my pedalboard, and I purposely made it an ugly light grey colour, because I was sick of people stealing my black cables. I've been using this particular cable for 100s of gigs and 100s of rehearsals. It's been stepped on, kicked and poorly handled by others, and it has never let me down!

I love the fact that all the solder points are one solid piece, from the tip that goes into the jack, all the way back to where the soldering point is. There are no rivets that will break over time. Assembly is a breeze too. Outstanding engineering!

I also have a recording studio in my home, where I professionally produce voiceovers and make music. I ONLY use Neutrik plugs. Again, NEVER had one fail. This is why all professional studios use Neutrik.

If you make your own cables, DO NOT make the lease expensive part of your rig out of cheap stuff. Spend the extra ¤ or 2 and Buy Neutrik. I promise, you'll LOVE them!

AR
Reliable Performance from Neutrik
Abandoned Russian Megastructure 22.11.2025
I've found the Neutrik NP2 X to be a reliable choice for my audio needs. The quality is consistently high, with a solid build that withstands regular use. I've used these plugs to make my own cables, and with proper soldering, they're virtually noise-free. The fit is also good, working well with most of my female-type plugs on amps and guitars. While some may find them a bit pricey, I believe the performance justifies the cost. Overall, I'm satisfied with the Neutrik NP2 X, and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a dependable audio plug.

Money for nothing

Nothing to do with Thomann, the service of which remains excellent.

As to the Neutrik? Brand name power, but nothing of substance..
Try Switchcraft or other similar brands, offering much better quality at lower prices.
As i've unfortunately mentioned elsewhere, it's the .. new "Made in Germany" kind of product. It may say so, but it sure is nothing like what you'd once expect.
