Never rewired a guitar before, don’t own a soldering iron so buying the ObsidianWire was a bit of a forgone conclusion. Upgrading a mid level Harley Benton tele, the plate was a little wider and longer. The original HB plate had a screw half in the cavity so I filled the mess to give the new one more stability. I had to save off some pick guard to squeeze the plate into place. I was putting in BareKnuckle Brute Force pickups (much hotter than HB ones) which is why I went universal so I could try SS or HS settings. Instructions aren’t very detailed but YouTube came to the rescue. Fitting wires etc was a doddle and the jack is much better than the HB supplied one. In the end I had a much louder and grungier sounding Tele. Think I’ll leave it on the HS setting as it takes it down a little.
