Die Eudoxa G Saite (steif gewickelt) spiele ich schon seit Jahrzehnten. Sie klingt weich, voll und mutet dem Instrument vergleichsweise wenig Zugspannung zu. Bei Thomann habe ich die G-Saite noch nie gekauft, weil der Zusatz "langgelegt" in der Beschreibung fehlte. Darmsaiten, so sagen die Geigenbauer*innen, werden brüchig, werden sie gerollt gelagert. Da ein anderer Shop, der Saiten auch langgelegt verschickt, die passende D-Saite nicht da hatte, habe ich sie angesichts einer gerissenen Saite kurz vor einem Konzert mit einem, ehrlich gesagt, etwas mulmigen Bauchgefühl erstmalig bei Thomann bestellt. Sie kam (wie auch die D-Saite) in einer größeren Tüte als abgebildet und in der Lieferungsliste des Pakets war erstmalig der Zusatz "langgelegt" zu lesen. Die Saite klingt so gut wie immer. Sollte sie früh reißen - würde ich meine Bewertung nochmals bearbeiten. Aber bisher bin ich sehr froh, sie diesmal via Thomann bestellt zu haben. Denn sie ist so schnell eingetroffen, dass ich sie rechtzeitig vor dem Auftritt aufziehen konnte. Inzwischen hält sie - einen Tag vor dem Konzert - die Stimmung wie gewohnt. Va bene!
