A game changer
I've been using my own, made-up, custom gauge on a 1997 MiJ Jackson DKMGT with .48 on the bottom in D standard ( I play mostly death, melodeath and thrash metal on it) and I wasn't that satisfied with the strings I tried out in the past two years.
I tried multiple .50's, even from Ernie Ball which is the exclusive brand I use, and I wasn't quite satisfied with the results. There were always one or two properties against my taste.
This one string changed it all in just 2 days!!! It's super tight/tense, sounds balanced and resonantes well, while also feeling very natural, smooth and lightweight under my fingers. I change them once a month, so I know they will feel and sound this way the whole month, with proper maintenance. It was just what I needed!
I will definitely buy a couple more of them and set a 0.095-0.50 gauge up - I will finally have no issues playing in D and then down-tuning to Drop C/C Standard in the middle of a gig. That will totally come in hand since I won't be needing to carry more guitars to the venues.

excellent strings
I've used Pyramid electric guitar strings for years, they sound consistent great. This single 050 was used to try out heavier gauges for drop D.
