Pyramid Nylon

My experience with Pyramid electric guitar strings has been really positive over the years so when I got back to playing nylon strings I got a couple set of these. I actually do really like the sound of them but other than that it's not been a great experience.

The first set was installed in an old Admira and has hold up well so far. Intonation seems a bit spotty at places but nothing too bad. The 2nd set I put on my La Mancha Rubi CM-N and it's been a disaster. Intonation on the low-E was absolutely horrible, getting progressively worse going up the net and by 12th fret it was like 20 cents off. It didn't really get much better after the string had settled, so I tried swapping the string other way around and it helped some but it was still pretty bad. Then after just a couple weeks the same string developed a weird buzz. I changed back the old Savarez string the guitar came with originally which fixed both the buzz and the intonation. As I was doing that I had to also loosen up the A-string (which also intonated quite poorly) and after I brought it back to pitch it was buzzing even worse than the E-string did. The guitar is setup well with a moderate action but by this point I was getting concerned and doubled checked everything, brought out the fret rocker etc. but everything was fine on the guitar. Changed back to an used Savarez and the guitar plays like a dream again.

Maybe I just got unlucky but based on my experience I'm not going to be buying any Pyramid nylons in the future.

In orchestra, we sent many games come to terms these strings always alternates, because we are always from strings and liked the smell again!
So, once again, the thomann provided us with models of fantastic strings and really cheap that even impress!
I can not say they are an extraordinary string, but desenrascam really well and serve to certain situations without having to spend big money in very good strings, and expensive! Regarding durability, it is of poor quality, do not last long! however, should always be borne in mind, the price of these strings!
Finally, a great choice for anyone who wants to strings and do not have much money to spend right now!

I bought these strings for my vintage spanish guitar. I usually don't record lots spanish guitars, so I was looking a set of strings for innocent home usage -which could allow me an acceptable quality for sporadic recording anyway-. And I have to say that they really do the job. The price is nice if you consider that the sound is not that bad! Not the best strings, of course. If you are studying classical guitar, or if you want to restring it with a minimum budget, these are probably the best you can buy. They don't give tuning issues or intonation problems. And they do have got acceptable harmonics (cheap strings usually don't!!!).

Pros: Price and reliability
Cons: Not the best sound you can find out there

Pyramid Nylon seems to be the best choice for spanish guitar students and non professional users.
