The Radial EXTC-500 is a thing of beauty - rock solid construction, and a pristine sound that has made me experiment with guitar pedals and amps like never before, in all sorts of instruments. Piano and drums are some of my favourites. It’s not surprising that we see this in pro studios everywhere, including Dave Pensado and Vance Powell!

This 500 series module can also be used for re-amping, and using it could not be any simpler. If you don’t own the Radial 500 series rack, you can’t use the ‘Omniport’ - but it’s never hindered me. The phase reverse is surprisingly useful, and so is the blend control!

If, like me, you’re considering whether to buy this or the standalone, 2 loop unit, I chose this because I wanted to avoid the wire confusion that would inevitably ensue - my desk space is limited, and I like to keep my studio as tidy as possible. It also fits my hybrid setup a lot more neatly.
You won’t regret buying any of the Radial products. They’re top notch!
