Time to get mixing
Like most professional DJ turntables, the RP-5000 MK4 is supplied without a cartridge. Thanks to the SME connector, however, any DJ can install their preferred cartridge in moments – whether that's a traditional headshell-mounted design or an integrated Concorde system. This makes the deck particularly attractive for DJs who switch between different cartridges for club use, scratching, and hi-fi listening. The RP-5000 comes with an RCA cable with integrated grounding lead and a power cable, both of which are detachable rather than permanently attached to the turntable: This offers greater flexibility when choosing replacement cables. The recessed connection panel protects the cables from damage, allows installation inside a flight case, and also enables a flush mixer arrangement in battle-style setups. The hydraulic cueing mechanism lowers the tonearm smoothly and gently onto the record. After that, it's time to get mixing.
