Great for brush work on a snare

This has a very similar build, structure and feeling as the Evan's Calftone. Sound wise it's more of a personal taste.
I mainly use these types of heads on snare drums for playing with brushes. For this purpose the surface is a bit smoother than a standard coated say Ambassador head, allowing the smooth brush sweeps.

Super sensitive snare head

Very pleased with this head which is fitted to my Benny Greb 13” snare. Super sensitive for brush work but great for sticks too with well controlled over tones. Appears to be very well made and is definitely a great snare head for general jazz playing.
