These are excellently made and certainly fun. I used it for a long time... but then sold it. Personally I just fell out of love with the Fiberskyn sound.

Best synthetic drum.

Sounds great! makes it easy to produce both high volume and quiet strokes or ghost notes. Huge pallet of shades. Can perform traditional African music very well though the sound is a little different.
Like a true djembe, it is also very versatile and can fit well in so many genres. Excels in modern and electronic music.
For me, it's the peak of quality, no room for an upgrade.
In case of animal skin drums, there are many top artisans, each of them build unique drums, so there is no single best. Unfortunately in my case as a vegan all those options are irrelevant.
In my view, the mondo djembe, a synthetic industrial drum is undoubtedly #1 of it's kind.

Habe 12 und 14 Zoll angespielt, die 12 fand ich besser, weil der Bass fast gleichwertig ist mit dem der 14er, da er bei beiden sehr kurz, kontrolliert und trotzdem voll klingt. der slap ist der hammer!
man kann die djembe ausserdem sehr gut leise spielen, das ist klasse!! auch streichen mit hand oder besen ist möglich, durch die angenehm rauhe oberfläche des 1A remo-fells!

Nach einem Jahr kann ich nur sagen: SUPER TEIL! Macht Spaß zu spielen, man kann mit der Stimmung viel rumspielen, sie verstimmt sich aber nicht von selbst, man muss also faktisch nie nachstimmen, wenn man seine Stimmung eingestellt hat! Und was nicht fehlen darf: Sie sieht echt klasse aus!
