Not as solid as the older models...
Plastic is now used to join the top rail (where the necks rest) to the two side rails. The old models were all metal and much more solid feeling. This one flexes around a bit more than I'd like, but as I don't intend to move it much I hope it will hold up ok. One good thing is the bottom tubes are now round -not square like the originals. This means as the foam over them inevitably compacts over time, there won't be any hard, square edges to be revealed to dent or damage your instruments! Wouldn't dream of using outside the house, but at home they are a practical solution for larger collections of instruments.

Space saver
I have it at home helping me (and my woman!) not to have all my guitars on single stands around the house.. I don't know if it could stand a touring life since it maybe looks a little fragile, but in studio or at home it's a perfect solution for storing electric and acoustic guitars and basses in a small place.

Good but slots for guitars are fairly narrow
Good, cheap, easy to assemble (despite poor instructions) guitar stand.
I have this and the 3 slot version.
I would like each guitar slot to be about 1 cm wider. You have to be very careful taking guitars out not to scratch them on each other. On the plus side, the stand is quite compact for that reason.

Well Designed and Fairly Stable
Instructions are easy to follow and well described and it is pretty easy to assemble. It seemed a bit twisted after assembly but the weight of the guitars has straightened it out. It feels as though it could topple back with only one electric guitar on it, but after the weight of a few are on the base supports it feels a lot sturdier. Only being used assembled rather than folding up and transporting it to different places, so I do not know how easily the bolts on the hinged mechanism will come loose. I felt that it was a little bit expensive for what it is.

Rockstand RS20882
I bought this stand as I needed a place to store guitars so that they would be easily available, and yet held securely. This stand meets these criteria.
It will hold 7 electric guitars. It won't hold 7 acoustic guitars as the extra width takes up more than one "slot". However, you can get a reasonable mix of guitars into it. It will also hold electric basses.
The headstock of the guitars protrude above the top of the stand, so it needs to be slightly away from any wall behind it.
It can be stored away by folding the lower portion of the stand up.
It's not suitable for guitars with "nitro" finish as the padding can react with it.

Needs a guitar to stand
If left without any guitar, it might fold.
The foam of the bottom horizontal rods tore while attaching as the screw went through it.
Stable with atleast 5 instruments on it.

you can prop your guitars up with this at home or in a studio but i would not trust it for a live shows if i need to make quick guitar changes,

Its actually good
I have assembled it pretty fast. The construction is not very rigid but is stable, which is perfect for home use.

Good overall.
It's okay, a little wobbly but stable enough to be trustworthy. It could do with better tightening features, but it's good overall.

Does teh job
This was bought to keep the many guitars and basses stored safely,
It's fitted in the bottom of a wardrobe and manages several basses and guitars with no problem. The quality is pretty good, maybe not up to the rigours of live on the road, but fine for home/studio use,
