I wanted to get something a bit more robust than my Behringer condensers and not as expensive as a Sennheiser. So I was naturally attracted to this model. It really is very impressive, an almost perfectly flat response curve, it's solid and weighty, feels like it will last a long time. It sounds very good indeed. I may buy another one. The on/off switch is not something I am used to having, so that is a bonus.
The big annoyance with this is that Rode allegedly offer a 10 year extended warranty, with online registration, but their website does not work. It continues to insist that place of purchase has not been ticked when it has. I have tried a dozen times with different browsers.
