Must-have, but beware the small print for fitting!
When you are recording at a desk, it is vitally important that you stabilise the mike you are using so that any vibrations from keyboard, mouse etc don't shake the mike and send random sounds/bumps/rumbles etc down into your recording. The best way to stabilise a mike is using a shock mount, or, as it should better be called "an anti shock mount!"
I purchased this particular accessory to use with the RODE PROCASTER ... it fits well, removes all vibration I could throw at it, and generally performs as it was designed. I purchased this particular model as it had an attached pop filter, something I needed. However, it transpires that the ProCaster is longer than other Rode mikes, and therefore the inbuilt pop-filter wont actually reach where its needed and is thus quite useless for me anyway. I was going to return it but it would cost me more in return postage so I've just snipped the it I dont want off ... the shock frame is the main thing and I'm happy with that.
So, great product, but be very careful to ensure that it fits the mike you are buying perfectly!

great product
At first I thought that 55 euros were a little much for this but I couldn't be more wrong. this is a really high quality product that you're gonna love having in you're studio. its really convenient and it just work. I love it.

Little Buddy
I searched around for an alternative cheaper shock mount for my Rode NT1000 but in the end there was nothing that looked appealing. I'm certainly glad I went with this little fella. He is keeping the microphone perfectly, he looks great (I don't mind the Rode advertising) and it is comforting to think the microphone is nice and protected in there.

Very good quality build and plenty of flexibility once set up. Has improved my recorded vocals no end... As ever the delivery from Germany to the UK was super quick, taking just three days (Ordered Sunday eve, delivered Weds morning)

The best solution for this price
Great stabilization.
The microphone is held very firmly in the mount.
I use this with my rode nt 1000 and I am completely satisfied with the sound, it eliminates any vibration, whether from accidentally touching the stand or rumbling.
