Buy without hesitation if you want to use different stereo mic techniques
Sturdy but lightweight plastic bar that I bought to experiment with small condensor mics in various configurations (ORTF, XY, 20cm parallel) for recording my grand piano. Works very well for this, includes very handy markings to make your setup reproducable each time. Also reduces the amount of stands and the general clutter in the area of the piano :-)
Contains an adapter so it works with two sizes of microphone stands (5/8 and 3/8)
I think it is a little expensive for what it is, but there seems no good alternative, so I would buy it again!
ps Note that max spacing for the mics is about 20cm.

Nice quality, a little bit smaller for AB spacing
I took this product mainly to be used for ORTF setup and it is quite easy to position the mics right.
I doubt it will be suitable for AB omni space position due to short lenght (about 20 cm), so in case you need AB in 40 to 60 cm distance, Rode is not for you.
Overall, great quality and recommended by me.

I ordered three new ones, but what I received was two new ones and one used one. They were also retailers and employees who were talented in making rumors true. Is the promise of a company where people who have lost their philosophy of honesty and conscience work really reliable?

I use this all the time for ORTF overhead position and it is super handy when it comes to that. Highly recommend.

Quick, easy and consistent stereo mic setup
I bought this to facilitate setting up my Rode NT55 matched pair for stereo recording of acoustic guitar within a studio environment.
The bar is easy to use and has markings to assist setting up in a number of well known stereo configurations. The mic holders are at staggered heights to allow SDC mics to be perfectly setup without phase issues.
I've been pleased with the stereo imaging I've achieved using this bar and just as importantly the results are easily achievable between recording sessions allowing for excellent consistency. It is perfectly possible to set up a matched pair with two separate mic stands and a ruler but why waste time setting up when you would achieve more by capturing a good performance? This is no doubt a piece of kit that an older engineer might question the need for but for a recording musician that might need to quickly and accurately set up a stereo mic pair then it falls into the list of essentials.

Great Gear!
Rode Stereo Bar its a great tool and best of all it weight close to nothing, very useful in virtually any situation you are in. Either two microphones together for stereo setup or dual mono for vocalist singing overdubs at the same time, a little camera orchestra, you name it. With the SB20 you can do it since it has the marking for ORTF or XY and the separation bar below so you get both mics equally from the centre. i recommend it!

Very useful dual mic mount

Really nice stereo bar strong and useful.
Well made, sturdy and easy to attach. Marked out for accurate mic placement.
I bought the matching Ride rotating adaptor and my mics are now well-spaced, work at almost any angle and they don’t fall off the stand. Good stuff, Rode.
Not the cheapest, but it really gets the job done.
