This is not like many common tube stands. It is a bit heavier, sturdier and has a better finish. I was initially hesitant because of the price. Not disappointed once the item was received and assembled

Top quality stand

Although it is more expensive than the average laptop stand, this product is worth the money. I use it mainly for my laptop, which I place close to my keyboard for composition purposes, and some other times I load it with a big pile of books. Excellent finish and materials, fully adjustable. A very solid and steady stand indeed.
