G
Rotosound PN10 nickel strings
Gary6465 14.10.2019
Fitted thesew to my Gibson SG, having tried so many strings, at last i have found a set of strings that pull the best sounds and tones out of my Gibson SG humbucker pickups through my Bugera valve amp, now will have to make a stock for these, so i always have them on hand, also gave a couple sets to my freinds, as they needed strings, and both have come back and remarked on how good the strings were for the tones and sounds from the strings.

D
True Vintage Zing with Sweet Tone
Danispada 17.04.2026
I love them! They reminded me of the old Vinci Strings I used to mount on my Strat in the 90s, alas out of production. The sound is zingy, but not harsh so you can hear the overtones sparkle without the excessive attack. The overall tone is well balanced over the whole spectrum of frequencies offering a good sound that makes you want to play more. I also loved them for playing without a pick Mark Knopfler style. I stopped using them only because I have a G&L s-500 Tribute and the bass always sounds too loud with regular 10s, as it does better with 10-38s or regular 11s.

Pure nickel but very stiff
mutaatio 09.07.2025
I accidentally discovered pure nickel strings when I bought them by mistake and now they've become my favorite. I've also been trying many different brands, and I have to say Rotosound did not become my favorite.

Packaging is very minimal which is a plus these days. Installation was ok, although they could use different color coding for each string.

These strings sound great. There's loads of sustain and perfect brightness. However, the feel isn't as great. These feel very stiff and sharp. Not easy to play and fingers ache afterwards. I use 10s with other brands but I feel like 9s could have been a better pick here.

Great strings for comfort
Gus93 10.07.2017
I use these string in all of my guitars, except for the ESP one (explaining later), and i am very happy with them. They provide a great grip feel that kames bending effortless and also stay in tune pretty good. They only lack in brightness and they are not suited well with guitars that have an overall dark sound, like my Horizon. Overall, They are not the best strings, however the are great for the money.
