I find this to be one of the all time best ligatures for bass clarinet. It offers a really wide spectrum of sound and attack possibilities. The build quality is excellent, and it's made to be easy to put on place together with the reed swiftly, unlike other ligatures that make it more difficult to change reed in the middle of a performance. I can adjust the position of the reed or even change it if necessary, which makes it very practical.

The interchangeable metal plates give you even more colours and can serve to different purposes such as playing in an orchestra, solo or chamber music.
I used to experiment as well with the two "flaps", either up or down to look for slightly different response.

Wrapping up, a great value ligature I would recommend to all Bass Clarinet players despite their level.

Hab die Rover Versa, die Vandoren Optimum, einen "Eigenbau" und eine alte einfache Metallblattschraube getestet. Die Rover und die Vandoren sind beide echt gut. Sie unterscheiden sich nur durch den Charakter sehr geringfügig. Ich habe mich letztlich für die Vandoren Optimum entschieden, da sie minimal durchsetzungsstärker zu spielen ist und die Ansprache beim Stakato etwas besser ist. Das ist im Orchester passender. Die Rover ist dafür minimal weicher und wärmer im Klang. Die passt für die kleine Besetzung etwas besser. Die Unterschiede sind wirklich sehr gering.
Die unterschiedlichen Andruckplatte funktionieren bei beiden gut und ermöglichen noch kleine Änderungen im Setup. Allerdings bringt ein anderes Mundstück/ Blatt einen größeren Effekt. Im Vergleich zu der einfachen Blattschraube ist die Rover um Längen besser. Mein Eigenbau ist ähnlich wie die Rover zu spielen. Nur deswegen habe ich sie nicht auch gekauft.
