In my Alhambra 10P sound great, life time expectancy normal, traces of scratched wire were it touches the frets do not appear to affect sound.

Generally good sound, the only problem is that bass strings are very rough, so the string squeak is very pronounced. So I had to polish them a bit, and now they sound pretty good.
