A bit of work to fit but worth it
Tim from UK 14.10.2017
These were to upgrade my Squire Affinity JB 5 string which was a present for me. Thomann were great as they were able to source the fifth machine head with the same orientation as the other four. I must say, that it took some modification to the headstock to get them fitted so if the holes are different on your bass you may wish to get these professionally fitted. The bass now has new Machine heads, new Pickups, new pre amp and new Pickguard. A bit of a project for me but I really like doing this to a cheap bass to get the upgrade

Works as expected

Bought for a project upgrade bass, very easy to install and very sturdy despite being so light and made of aluminium and carbon fibre. Would definitley purchase these again

I find them to be really good looking. I got them installed without any major surprises.
On the down side, two of the tuners have a bit too much friction when turning them. It is very hard to describe the feeling, and just marginally bothering

Effective but with warning

VERY light, helped a ton with my '70s-style Thunderbird with the huge headstock, but they do feel fragile from the lack of weight.
The major drawback though is the installation, you need to drill an extra hole for each tuning key, unless your bass has already got keys with that kind of mounting from the factory (which is very rare).
I don't regret buying them but I'd rather go for the Schaller M4 90, so I don't have to alter my instrument that much.
