A
Nicely engineered
Anonymous 26.12.2014
If you have ever bought a secondhand guitar with a Floyd Rose tremolo unit, it is reasonably likely that there will be a degree of play in the bar. People try various methods to shim the bar with PTFE tape or some other material, but it is far better to fix the problem properly by replacing the bar assembly with this item.

Basically you whip out the bridge unit, use a spanner to remove the bar holder assembly, and replace with this one. Job done! You may even find that this arm fits into your exising holder, in which case you don't need to replace the whole assembly.

Some licenced floyds may have unusual sizing but this defnintely fits Floyd Rose brand bridges.

You can usually be confident of good engineering with Schaller, and that is the case here.

New floyd style, better but still "wooble"
alexlotta 11.03.2026
Floyd rose an/ abd Schaller) introduced a new arm model . Screw underside is bigger=a unique whole piece Colider with a hole for exascre driver , instead than the 2 piece cilinder+exa screw we have had from decades .
Is it better ? YES!
it solve the "little wooble " play we have on arm? NO .
I had great hopes and got mislead-ed by enthusiastic Review...
TAKE THE "PUSH -IN" ARM , THAT SOLVE the "wooble" . i have 4,,,
did wait more than 4 months hoping to get the best of 2 worlds ( scre tension and no play) .I learned my lesson. never believe hype .
( Ps:i made sure to "soft "hammer on in the piece into base , so is the natural play of the arm ) , is exactly like my 10 bucks after market arm .. make you a favor and try the push -in instead if you do not want "wobble" arms..

r
excellent value upgrade

Used to replace slightly wobbly arm on an EVH wolfgang std with the FR Special. Simple to replace, with a touch of vasoline to smooth things.
Result is a snug smooth action with no play.
Perfect.
