Excellent Instrument!
The Good:
This guitar is absolutely exceptional. Everything from the design to the build to the sound quality is top-tier. The Sustainiac is an incredibly fun addition, and the bridge humbucker delivers a remarkably aggressive, bombastic tone while remaining completely noiseless. Together, they perfectly capture that thrashy Avenged Sevenfold vibe, but remain versatile enough for other styles. The slim C neck is lightning fast, making it easy to fly up and down the fretboard. This is my first Floyd Rose guitar, and starting out with the high-quality Floyd Rose 1500 has made the learning curve much smoother.
Why I deducted 1 star:
Gold Hardware Wear:
The gold plating is microscopic. After less than a year of ownership, regular sweat and palm resting have already started wearing down the finish, revealing the silver base metal underneath on parts of the bridge and pickup. It's slight, but annoying for a guitar at this price point. Keep in mind this is a known issue with gold hardware across all brands, but it happens fast.
Spec Inaccuracy:
Thomann's listing stated the guitar features a push-pull pot to split the bridge humbucker. It does not. There is no push-pull functionality on this model. Hopefully, Thomann updates the description soon or has already updated it.
Overall, this is easily one of my favorite guitars to play. It feels amazing and I highly recommend it!
