Great mic at this price
Audiogram78 24.09.2025
Went back and forth on choosing the SE V7MK and various Sennheiser or Rode mics. In the past I owned a Rode M1, and a cheap Behringer. This mic is significantly better than both, although unsuprisingly closer to the quality of the Rode.

I'm not an audio engineer, I record spoken work for interviews and voiceover for short audio docs, so I have no idea if it's a good mic for singing, or instrument recording, although, judging by the intended market- I guess so.

So, in my subjective observations- needs a fair bit of gain, but relatively good for noise- remember I am recording voice not singing, so any noise will be much less noticeable on stage, or when the recorded source is louder.

It has a rich, rounded low end, good mids, and a sparkle in the high end which my other mics (mentioned above) lacked somewhat, but this will again depend on whom you are recording.

Build quality is excellent. Handling noise is present but controlled, plosive resistance is one slight weak spot, but good mic technique or placement and a foam wind sock will help with that

Highly recommended.

This microphone is wonderful. Very sturdy and the tone is just stunning. Better than the Beta 58 in my opinion.

Best mic currently on the market
Zinon 21.04.2026
There are two kind of mics, the ones that have strong proximity effect and lil to non boost on highs so when you sing far from the grill to get the most balanced sound and the ones that have minimised proximity effect and boost highs so when on the grill to get the most balanced sound. This mic is the best in the first category out of all the competition. Its bad if you try to sing close to the grill and i would recomend buying a mic for that purpose. I compared m88 beyer , beta 58, sm58, sr117, e935, audix om11, m81 telefunken. Its more balanced and warm and captures the full length of the spectrum of the voice.

Great for looping
5amue1 28.10.2025
My first dynamic mic and I have to say I'm impressed. Bought it mainly for looping and it does the job well. Windscreen is a must IMO.

For the price you really can not go wrong with this one.
