Too much handling noise

These mics sound great, but suffer from an unusual amount of handling noise. I have 2 V7Xs and 3 V7s and they all have this problem. On loud sources and voices they work fine, but on quiet sources you'll be picking up the subwoofer and every footstep on the stage through the mic stand. Sure, you can EQ it out, but then the mic doesn't sound as good. I'm going to be purchasing some shock mounts, but I don't feel like I should have to because these are handheld mics. SE really needs to redesign the internal shock mount.
