I took a risk to order this one, since I couldn’t find any audio recording on the internet, but bought it because I wanted to get one in 432 Hz so that It could match with my crystal singing bowls which are also tuned in 432 Hz. Thomann crew kindly helped me also with the choice for the stand to put it on and to be able to play it in a heightened and tilted way (Millenium SS-901X Pro Series Snare Stand). I just had to adjust it a bit so that the vibrations of the drum don’t get muffled by some parts of the stand that come in contact with the bottom parts of the drum.
I am sure I will buy some more tongue drums from Sela. I look forward to use this one (and others in the future) for the people and to send them to a lovely sound travels. :)
I so much enjoy the bag (it is really lovely) and that there are 2 different sets of mallets added. I also used other mallets, which sound really nice. I am not so efficient with playing with my fingers, hands, yet, maybe I have to try some more and results will come.

Dit is mijn 4de tongue drum. De andere klinken niet zo clean, vooral als je net "naast" slaat, wat ik fijn vind, want ik houd wel van metalige "detuned" boventonen. De Sela is daarentegen loepzuiver; een mooie aanvulling daarop. Ik vond een video van van de U serie en was meteen verkocht toen ik deze hoorde. Ik kon mijn oren niet geloven vanwege de lange sustain uit dit formaat! Je stapelt makkelijk (enigszins Hang-achtige) resonanties. De A = 432 Hz stemming is ook geweldig (allleen dus niet compatible met gangbaar gestemde tonque drums). Ik gebruik hem meditatief: daarbij sla ik steeds 1 tot 3 noten aan als bij een klok of klankschaal. De volume aanslag is fenomenaal waardoor je de ene noot effectief zachter dan een ander speelt, voor verschillende blends. Kortom: deze tongue drum is zijn geld waard en krijgt van mij een welverdiende 10. Tip voor Sela: overweeg geluidsfragmenten op de website, want die kunnen het verschil maken tussen overslaan of kopen.

Wir haben bereits eine andere Tongue Drum welche zwar auch sehr schön klinkt aber nicht mit der tiefe und Vielfalt dieses Models mithalten kann.
Die Klänge sind tiefgehend, langanhaltend und gehen unter die Haut.
Sie zu spielen macht einfach spaß egal ob man ruhige Klänge zur Entspannung oder rhythmische Tonfolgen erzeugen möchte.
Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und durch die mitgelieferten 2 Schlägel Paare (1x gummiert 1x Watttiert) kann man noch mehr Feinheiten heraus kitzeln.
Die ebenfalls im Lieferumfang enthaltene Transporttasche ist gut gepolstert und bietet somit super schutz für das neue Schmuckstück, auch hier ist die Verarbeitung super.
