Literally changed my life
My 7 years old Sennheiser HD-650 was beginning to show signs of age, the foam net pads were wore through and it started to become uncomfortable to wear. I contemplated buying a new headset but the HD-650 is just perfect for me and I couldn't justify buying a higher-end one and definitely didn't want to buy the same one.
I could have just changed the foam pads (they are 2€ each, item 394412) but decided to get the whole ear cushions (this item) and head pad (item 118473) and boy did I made a good choice !
I didn't realised how much the original pads (both ears and headband) had worn down and with these new ones it's a whole new world, I can finally regain the original over-ear feature and confort.
It's not cheap (I ended up paying a little over 50€ for the complete kit) but if it can revive my 300+€ headset to its former glory and give me 5+ more years of heavy use, it's money well spent.
PROS
- Quality : identical to original one, good build quality
- Easy to install : took me 2 minutes to switch without tools
CONS
- Price : could be cheaper especially if you buy the whole kit (ear pads + head pads)
- Durability : the pad foam could last longer before losing its firmness

What else to say?
I didn't realise how worn out my old ear pads were - replacing them has made the headphones much more comfortable to wear. I feel like it's improved the sound quality as well (because the fabric cover over the driver was completely worn out on mine), but that might just be my imagination.

Expensive but worthwhile
I thought that these were rather expensive for just replacing the tired ear pads of my HD-650s, especially given cheaper generic alternatives, but on receiving them and installing them (with ease), I feel like my headphones are more comfortable even than I remember them being when new...
I was going to give 4 stars on account of the cost, but actually think that the cost reflects the quality.

Very comfortable and breathable ear pads, sadly they wear out quite fast.

Easy to instal and comfortable!
I had to change my old HD600 pads, bought those, and they were easy to swap, and they fit perfectly. They are so comfortable. Would recommend it any time!

Wear out too fast
My old ones worn out in 6 month, destroying the original sound signature. It sounded more muffled, less sharp. Very expensive having to keep buying new pads.

Don't bother with any other
I made the mistake of buying third-party faux leather earpads for my sennheiser HD650's. While they may have worked OK for a pair of HD600's, for the HD650's the result was nothing short of abysmal. I had to resort to buying these official ones within 2 weeks because the sound had become significantly worse. Do yourself a favour and stick with the official Sennheiser velour earpads, any other can and will degrade the sound.

Fresh and sturdy
My years old earpads were nearly flat compared to these ones, trice the thickness and much more comfy than my old worn out ones. The sound quality has been restored partially as well. Never imagined that the status of the earpads would affect sound experience so much.
