3 pickups in one when split
I have installed this in a MIM strat along with a 3 positions switch so I can split either to north or to south coil.
North coil is based on custom coil sound, where south is classic 59. This is why splitting these makes a difference!

Great surprise as a humbucker — skip it for split-coil use
This pickup was a great surprise — a surprisingly competent sound overall. As a full humbucker it's kick ass, and I'd happily recommend it in that role. Where it falls short is split-coil use — I wouldn't buy it specifically for that purpose, so if coil-splitting is a priority for you, look elsewhere. But for straight humbucker tone, it delivers.
