Ich habe über 10 Rohre getestet und auf einzelnen sogar Konzerte gespielt. Die Silverstein- Rohre bieten durchaus eine Alternative und können bei Open-Air Konzerten oder in sehr trockenen Räumen hilfreich sein. Sehr leichte Ansprache mit wenig Widerstand in allen Registern. Klanglich etwas heller als Holzrohre , durchaus schon flexibel in der Dynamik . Wehrmutstropfen: Nur etwa jedes zweite Rohr bietet die gewünschte Qualität, was bei diesem Preis belastend ist. Einige Rohre sind zu leicht in der Spannung und klingen quäkig, das g in der zweiten Oktave ist oft zu tief auf verschiedenen Instrumenten obwohl die Chiarugi Hülse ansonsten passend ist. Fazit: Die Kunststoffrohre sind in der Entwicklung auf einem guten Weg. Erst bei gleichbleibender Qualität ( oder Rücksendemöglichkeit ) und einem annehmbaren Preis werden sie sich unter Oboisten und Schülern durchsetzen können .
