Making flights easy
Was so nervous of flying with my bass for my first gig abroad. Asked many people and was recommended to buy this. Well money spent. You simply take your gig bag and put it inside the bass safe and lock it up and you are ready to check in the bass and fly away. most gig bags will fit. i used the mono m80 to put in the bass safe. any larger gig bags than the m80 would not fit. had to squeeze a little. the case survived all flights and only got some minor scratches.
Pros:
- Wheels. no need to carry heavy stuff.
- Robust and sturdy construction in general.
- Good locks so far.
- Awesome to put your own gig bag inside
Cons:
- The surface of the case is not smooth which makes all your cool sticker fall off. not really a problem but some of my "handle with care" sticker fell off.
- Plastic wheels might not last forever.
I'm really satisfied with this one so far.

Very good case
Protected my bass very well on a transatlantic flight. Carries the instrument inside a gig bag, which is a handy way of bringing a gig bag with you and also gives some extra protection. Lost one wheel on the trip, so the wheels could be mounted better, but very sturdy construction on the case itself. Overall, a good instrument case.

Have your sweater ready
I bought this one to transport my HB bass in flight. I had a soft gig bag so I needed a hardcase. When I was packing it for the first flight, I found out that I had to put cloathing with the instrument in the case because otherwise it would be dancing arount the case during handeling and the flight. So, have your woolen sweater ready and maybe some towels and socks to keep your instrument from flying within the case.

Really Good Case
This is a quality case, very balanced and has kept my basses safe; however, some airlines have a way of evaluating that goes well beyond normal testing. When I arrived in China last fall I found that the latch had ripped away from the strap. While it was still locked and fastened, the airlines had to tape the 2 pieces together and tied the loose strap around the handle. I only wish SKB had a design that protected the latch a little more carefully. That said, since this seems like an odd incident, I would travel with it again, making sure to wrap it, especially around the area where the buckle is fastened. This review actually says more for the brute strength of airline workers than a real problem with the case.
