Great for in-rack wiring and inside-components

These cables, with foil-shielding, have memory effect, and are great both for in-rack wiring between components where it will stay put, and wiring inside-components for DIY projects.

No good for high impedance signals (goes without saying), or for uses that require continual winding and unwinding, but for its intended purposes, probably the best thing out there.

For those uses in which you need flexibility (continual winding and unwinding), however, I would recommend the Sommer Cable Cicada SO-D14.

I am using this cable as it is thin and doesn't take too much space. It has a slight memory effect but all in all it is good as microphone cable, as patch cables. It is a fit for all. I do not know if for high impedances if it will do the job ok.

Ich habe mir Isopod Kabel bestellt um meine Stagebox intern zu verkabeln, dafür ist das Kabel duch seine kompakten Abmessungen auch gut geeignet, allerdings würde ich es nicht für den Bau von Kabeln oder Adaptern empfehlen, dafür ist es zu unflexibel und auch der Mantel fasst sich nicht an als wäre er für das tägliche Handling gedacht.

Für Installationen, grade da wo nicht viel Platz ist, ist das Kabel aufgrund seines Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses jedoch eine gute Wahl.

J'utilise ce câble pour fabriquer mes propres câblage lorsque j'ai besoin de faire des montages un peu spécifiques.
Le diamètre est assez faible pour pouvoir en mettre 2 (voir 3 suivant le type de connecteur) par connecteur ce qui est très pratique pour faire des Y d'insert ou autre montages sans avoir à forcer sur le serre-câble du connecteur.
Le câble est blindé par une feuille d’aluminium ce qui est un plus !
Cependant je n'utilise pas ce câble pour des montage côté scène mais plutôt côté console (patch, effets, enregistreur, etc.) ou studio car il est tout de même bien moins résistant (mécaniquement) qu'un câble standard.
