Modularity and individuality

Questions that arise time and again, especially in exhibitions and when it comes to shop design: How and where can lights, banners, and other items required in order for merchandise to be displayed successfully be installed in a presentable manner? The F32 modular truss system from Global Truss has all the answers to these questions, as it can be used to make customised constructions that are perfectly tailored – for example, grid ceilings for exhibition stands. In addition to the typical aluminium look, the modules of this system are also available in black. The F32 truss system is suitable for both mobile applications and fixed installations, for the latter of which Global Truss also offers specially developed wall brackets to allow the truss system to be suspended.

Global Truss F32200 Truss 2.0 m

Light but strong

The F32 truss system from Global Truss is a TÜV-certified two-point system with 50×2mm chord tubes and 20×2mm diagonal bracings. The aluminium modules are assembled with a special conical system that's driven into place using a copper hammer to ensure a secure friction fit. The F32 series is designed for a span of up to 10 metres. Despite its lightweight design, this system is capable of carrying a substantial load when the span is moderate: At a span of 5m in a 1m grid, the given limit for centrally placed, concentrated loads is 349kg, and for concentrated loads at the positions placed at one-third of the span it is 262kg. If the span is reduced to 4m, the limit for centrally placed concentrated loads can be as high as 439kg.

Everything a pro needs

The system's modularity enables an extraordinary degree of customisation when professional riggers are planning different constructions: At the same time, the lightweight design reduces weight and while also saving material resources. All these positive features make this system ideal for event technology rental companies, for trade show booth constructors and shopfitters, and for retail stores, theatres, museums, and photographers, since the F32 truss system from Global Truss is particularly well suited to venues in which limited space is a genuine issue.

About Global Truss

Global Truss is a company specialising in the manufacture of aluminium products for event technology and stage construction. Headquartered in the Baden-Württemberg municipality of Karlsbad, near the city of Karlsruhe, the company has grown since its creation in 2000 to become a leading global manufacturer of trusses, with subsidiaries in the USA and Asia. Global Truss started with three different truss systems, but these have since expanded to a range of more than ten. The firm guarantees that the processes of manufacture and testing of their aluminium structures comply at every step with the highest quality and safety standards, from the raw material itself through to the production facility, right down to the individual welder.

Merchandise displays, exhibitions, and stage roofs

The F32 truss system made by Global Truss is used in both professional trade show booth construction and shopfitting, as well as in event technology in general. In addition to grid ceilings for booths, sales floors, exhibitions, and banner frames, this system is also suitable for constructing cantilevers and cross sections with low loads, and can also be connected to other systems in the F3x series via special adapters. The range is extensive, not to say comprehensive, and includes everything that a team of stagehands or event techs are likely to need in any given situation. For example, the F32 system contains a total of 12 different truss sizes ranging from 25cm to 500cm in length. Thanks to this large selection, users of all kinds will have everything they need for a successful, professional truss construction.

In the spotlight: TrussTool

The first TrussTool was introduced in 2006 and has been the first choice for designing constructions quickly and easily ever since. The new TrussTool 3.0 is the first version to offer 3D views of all components from the F32, F33, and F34 series, including spacers, circle pieces, and base plates. A highly intuitive user interface helps users to implement their designs quickly. All designs can be saved with an individual account so that they can be accessed at any time. So riggers can always keep track of the dimensions of their construction, the TrussTool provides all dimensions, the total weight, and a detailed list of components.

Well worth the investment.

My band uses 3 x 2m trusses to mount 4 LED spots above and across the front of the stage which gives us excellent lighting. We're lit up for the audience to see, we can all see our instruments clearly and we don't get blinded. Perfect !
The trusses themselves are really robust and very light which makes handling easy. They are also quick and easy to set up and take down which for small band gigging is exactly what you need. The 2m lengths also fit easily into the car or bus.
Not cheap but well worth the investment. Highly recommended !

M
2 Point Truss - Review
Malcolm8557 17.07.2014
This trussing is highly recommended for its strength and saving space when stacked.

As a 2 point truss it is immensely strong and very well finished, the shiny aluminium looks great and it is extremely good value from Thomann... I am using a 2 x 2 meter goalpost span to rig lighting fixtures and I have to say that the truss connections are quick and secure... far better than "Trilite" which uses a cumbersome spigot system which is very time consuming. I would recommend that you also purchase a small copper mallet to locate and remove the tapered pins on the truss connections, just a small tap on each pin is all that is needed to locate and remove them, a brilliant design concept from Global Truss.

Hope this helps best regards... Mal Williams
