First Strandberg.
Overall, this is a very modern instrument. It’s very light and surprisingly resonant, even acoustically, which is always a great sign.
The pickups have two voices. Voice No. 1 is more vintage-sounding, and the in-between positions don’t drastically change in volume, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Voice No. 2 sounds more modern, with a noticeable midrange boost in terms of EQ.
I haven’t changed the strings yet.
The only unfortunate thing was the fret ends, which were noticeable and were poking out slightly. This was probably due to temperature or humidity changes during storage. A quick visit to a luthier friend fixed that.
Other than that, I would give it 5/5 stars.
I just hope Strandberg makes one multitool for adjusting the guitar in the future, instead of having to carry around a pouch with four little hex keys, etc.
