Highly reccomended
CameronJ 26.10.2020
Solidly built, worked great with my interface out of the box, the shock mount fits perfectly and securely. As for sound quality, it is premium for what you pay and the incorporation of the rolloff switches prove to be really useful. Totally reccomended for the price.

One really good mic!
RonanM 09.07.2014
So you want to set up a studio. While you aren't strapped for cash you'd still like avoid going overboard. This is where this mic comes in. It's a robust piece of kit that records vocals and instruments really well! I've had this mic for a few weeks now and have not been disappointed.

Wow..

This is by far the best large diaphragm condenser studio microphone you can get for this price!
It has brilliant highs and mids and a very flat tone character - perfectly useful for home or even studio recordings.
It can (for this price) definitely keep up with much more expensive mics!
Highly recommended!

Great mic
Mark928 21.07.2013
Excellent mic, ideal for voiceovers. I had been looking around for a mic for a while, unsure of which to go for. Since I was just starting off in voiceover, I wasn't able to spend a fortune, but after speaking to a very established and well-known British VO professional, I went with this, and don't regret it at all. It picks up my voice perfectly, I'd say even better than the mics I used in professional studios when I was training. The mic itself is sturdy and well-built, and works perfectly with the preamp (Art Dual Pre USB). Within 5 minutes of unpacking, I had the mic and preamp working perfectly with Audacity. I'll be using Audition 3.0, and look forward to hearing the results.

I'm in love with this
Anonymous 20.09.2014
My first condencer microphone and still using it. I've recorded vocals, relaxing ASMR-videos and acoustic quitars & recorder using this mic and it has been a pleasant surprise in each category. I believe it's got to be one of the best in its price range and it may very well surpass some more expensive ones as well. I've used a lot of high end mics in studio enviroment and there isn't a drastic difference after all.

B
A good choice!
Boris8339 22.02.2014
The Studio Projects B1 large diaphragm microphone is a finely crafted all-round microphone for the small budget. It seems durable and feels valent, which I find important. And the best part: In terms of sound, it convinced me. A friend who has enjoyed a sound engineer training, has recommended it to me. And now after 4 years of use, I am still grateful for the tip.
The -10 and-20db reduction actually I do not use, but are certainly useful for other musicians.
I use it both for voice recordings as well as acoustic instruments such as guitar and Co.

Conclusion: For the home recording hobbyist with chronically small budget a very good choice!

Exceptional microphone for the price tag
Anonymous 20.08.2015
I have worked with a lot of high end recording equipment in my time and this microphone is comparable to some of the great microphones that are currently available. The response is fairly flat with a small boost at about 2 to 5khz. Amongst the upper frequencies there is certainly a unique character that is added by the microphone, however this is not a dissatisfying character. I've used this microphone to record vocals, overheads, acoustic guitar, violin and many percussion instruments and it has done a fantastic job on all, particularly vocals. With all of this in mind it is astonishing to think that it is only priced at 139 euro

This is the second one of these mics that I have bought as they can be used for absolutely anything. I use these to record vocals, piano, guitar and whatever else I want to throw at it. It is a true workhorse of a mic and I will buy another one should anything happen to this one.
