Not an e906 but close enough
The 628 clearly tries to copy the Sennheiser e906. The physical design is very close meaning the application of letting it hang over the side of the amp/cabinet is still very much possible.
Soundwise it is not as clear as the 906. But it does come close and at around a fourth of the price, it is great value. At some point I will get the 906 though.

Looks and works great.
This mic makes an amazing sound for a dynamic microphone that costs less than 50 euros.
It looks so good on the amp/combo and works just fine on the snare drum as well. It's also a space saver because you don't need a mic stand, you can make it "fall" in front of the speaker.
If you what to put this mic on a mic stand you will need a clamp, the mic it's to thin for the average mic stands.
When recording, it captures the speaker sound (almost) without any noise or buzzing.
For its prize and sound, it is a great mic!

Good budget amp mic
I used to D. I for my previous amp and upgraded to a fender Deville,,, I purchased this as it was cheap and cheerful... It carries the sound as it should, works a treat. Its basic, does a good job..bod and connection sharf became loose after a couple of years basically due to the tight fit of the mic holder, which is the weakest link of the package. The supplied mic holder broke in a few places, I just loop the cable around the amp handle and hang the unit, works fine. Still going after over 6 years.

Great mic to hang over a guitar amp, reliable and ready to go with very little room bleed at the right setup

front not firmly connected
If you tap the front accidentally against something else, it can fall of the mike.

Good microphone, but the mount doesn't fit
This microphone is a quite good microphone for the price. I use it to mic my amp for practice and smaller gigs. So far it gets its job done as it should. My only complaint is that the mount that came with it does not fit the microphone completely and seems that it will fall apart soon.

Good sound, good size
Didi 4 gigs with this microphone, had no issues, guitar sound came through the microphone just as expected.
Size also allows the microphone to be set up slightly more compact, compared to a sm58 setup for example.
Reccommend strongly to anyone staring a home studio / small rehearsal space / gig venue.

bought as experiment
Good microphone, sounds ok, but the holder went to pieces very soon, needed to replace it with other holder.
But the mike itself, within its price range is very OK

Using this for 7 years
I bought this mic when I was starting out on recordings and i still use it these days to record the bottom part of the snare and distorted guitar cabs. Sometimes I use it on drummer vocals because the pickup pattern rejects the back of it very well.
The sound is great for the price, even better than some 100£+ mics, better than sm57 in my opinion.
The only con is that the front grill is glued and over time it will fall off. You'll just need to glue it again.

Useful guitar/drum microphone
This mic has a dark tone, which can be really quite useful in certain applications. For the cost, you really can do a lot worse. It will undoubtedly be compared to the Sennheiser e609, however, I'd have to say the sounds are worlds apart when used on high gain, top end present guitars.
I've also had good results using this microphone on certain snares. It's often worth a go whenever you have something that is a little too 'bright'.
