Great alternative sound
Overall a great budget mic. Built as a tank, substantial, produces a full sound with abundance of thick low mids and smooth subdued high end. This is what is to be expected with ribbons, so all is good. The pictured scene is not dimensional sounding as some expensive alternatives, but it can sound pretty good on its own or in combination with others. I have two, and sometimes use the blumlein arrangement. Sensitivity is almost comparable to a condenser mic because it is active and needs 48 v to operate. The specs suggest high spl capability but I reached the limit of the mic with rather close micing of a full blast 25 tube guitar watts into a 12 speaker. The metering on my preamp and daw showed ample margin but I found that distorsion causes unusable recordings far before clipping the input stage of the preamp. A little more distance from the driver solved the issue, but I was expecting a tougher behaviour. This is what caused the missing star. Used always with a popfilter, it’s a ribbon.

Great for recording that 'Telecaster' sound
I purchased this to record guitars through a Vox Ac30.
This mic sounds great when recording my Telecaster, it gives a lovely rich sound. However recording a heavy rock Les Paul sound it struggles to capture the 'beef' and 'chuggy' nature that you look for from a Les Paul.
That being said every time I reach for my Telecaster I won't think think twice about using this microphone.

Good quality for relatively low price
My ideal for home recording, the sound quality works well on live stages too.
It is not studio-quality target, but for private record-practicing of wind instruments I think this one is very good.
I use it to record trumpet, flugelhorn, trombone and small percussions. For all these the quality of the tone is really similar to how it comes out of the instruments.
Very recommended for a private practice of studio-recording! (that is my experience :) ).

Nice ribbon mic
The mic produces a lot of bottom end and mids! Good for acoustic guitar, piano and guitar amps. And for voice, I think, but it depends on vocalist.
Very good sensitivity, nice dynamic. Plastic case is ok. The cable with angled XLR jack really good.
