Ok, let's get serious here. I did not realize I needed THIS kind of responsiveness from my pedals. This stand has singlehandedly erased everything else I had before. It feels natural. It feels stable. It feels monolithic. It feels like something I can rely on. TAMA has once again reminded me why I consider myself a TAMA guy for life. I'm not even going to talk visual and build quality side of things here. That goes without saying.
I think I am now ready for direct drive bass drum pedals as well...

Sicherlich ist das der bisher kostspieligste HiHat-Stand, den ich mir jemals geleistet habe und ein wenig Bedenken hatte ich schon. Und zwar aus zwei Gründen:
1) ist das Ding den Kaufpreis wert?
2) paßt das in mein Set-Konzept mit 2 Bass-Drums?
Zuallererst - das Teil ist sein Geld wert. Die Haptik ist Oberliga, das Gerät top verarbeitet, funktionell einwandfrei. Über die 6fache Leverglide Anpassung werden vermutlich selbst schwere Hihats auf den Punkt angehoben. Die Installation gelingt mit der Quick-Set Hi-Hat Clutch recht flott und wahrscheinlich auch ohne Beinchen steht das Teil sicher. Womit wir zum 2ten Punkt kommen.
Der Tama-Kundendienst bot mir an, vor Auslieferung die Beine zu amputieren. Ich bin froh, daß ich es nicht gemacht habe. Was nirgends aus den Prospekten hervorgeht: sie sind rotierbar! Und selbst in original-Ausgangsposition eingeklappt passt der Ständer exakt an die Stelle, an der vorher meine HiHat Tama HH 95 NL (NL steht hier für no-legs) stand!
Darüber hinaus habe ich sogar den Eindruck, daß auf die Art der Schwerpunkt verbessert wird.

Rundum also zufrieden, und ich freue mich auf eine von Tama gewohnt lange Lebensdauer.
