heavy as hell but very strong

mic stands fear me 12.05.2026

I am a singer who is very mean to mic stands. I can say two things with confidence:

1) This stand is extremely solid

2) If your act involves lots of leaping around with a mic stand you should go with something else, unless you are André the giant. The base weighs a tonne.

In the end I moved it to drum overhead, where it gives decent height and outstanding stability with a very small footprint.

Just as the title says, the Iron Works and Roadpro series from Tama is what you need in case you're looking for dependable hardware on tour. Yes, they are heavy, but heft comes with perks. They are stable and they deliver. Could not be any happier.

Voilà un pied, un vrai, lourd, avec un vrai contrepoids, mes 414 tiennent super bien en over head ou sur une barre stéréo, l'embase permet de faire un truc super propre autour de la batterie, on sent que cette marque connait bien le sujet!!!
