Good unit for a great price
For the price, the pedal sounds really good. Classic analog chorus, very warm sounding (not so crisp, which I like), and not too extreme. Works good with the bass guitar/double bass. The casing and the knobs are very solid, but very bulky. It's a heavy in weight and takes more space than a regular Boss unit. After many shows, the power input started to jiggle and sometimes disconnects; not very reliable. The footswitch has a strange engaging action - you need to press and let go to turn it on or off, it doesn't click or work when you just press. Very counter intuitive and annoying, especially when you have other pedals on the board that works normally. I still couldn't get used to that action.

One of the best budget analog chorus pedals
The tc electronic afterglow is one of the best budget friendly pedals in the market, it does the job as described, solid quality (built like a tank) I use iot one bass and it's sounds really great!

Fat chorus for your basic chorus needs
Does what it suppose to do - adding chorus'y phatness. You can go from subtle setting to a more aggressive in a twist of a button. Does the job for the price!

It is good to decorate!
If you want to play different tones sometimes, this pedal with its preice and perfomance is a perfect solution for you.
The "better" pedals could give bad results, probably, combination of pedals play a role. Therefore I think chorus pedals are an individual choice.
I'm a home guitarist, I wanted an affordable and stable effect, I found what I wanted.
The only problem is that the on-off swtich is not so perceivable as I need. I belive that I could be better. There is an another situation that can be ok for many but not for me. I find dimensions more than adequate.

Brilliant for the price
If you are looking for a decent chorus pedal for a great price, I would recommend the Afterglow.
As per most TC pedals, it is built like a tank, gigged with it for over a year, and suffered knocks and the odd splash but it barely looks used, amazing build quality.
The controls are very easy to use, and the sound is good quality, especially for the price!

Great pedal
The pedal is great but it is situational as the controls are not that broad as you expect.
