Does what it needs to!
This is a very simple device, consisting is a very high quality potentiometer in an aluminium enclosure, very minimalistic and classy in design. The rotary knob feels smooth, as expected most of the volume reduction is smooth up until the last part where the drop is mostly accentuated. I can't hear any loss of quality or colouration introduced by the circuit, I measured the SPL from my speakers and it appears that there is practically no attenuation in sound level when the unit is at its peak position (although the experiment was not perfectly accurate since I had to hold the mic with my hands). The pot is not dented, and there are no indicators other than a single one on top of the knob, however the min position is roughly between the TC and the max falls on the C of the brand :) so you have a way to visually understand where you are. I advice in calibrating the volume of the speakers at max and measure it (I have it at 83dbf each) and use the pot to reduce the volume. The attached wire is very long, but despite that you need additional cables since the balanced extensions are too short, about 50 cm apart.

Simple and functional
I use this with my monitors at home.
There's really not much mystery to it. It's a simple level control and it certainly does it's job well. Knob movement feels nice and the level control is accurate. I haven't noticed any negative affect to the sound. Cables are quite long so you don't have the connectors laying on the table. If you just need a simple good quality level control without extra features, this one is for you.

Good passive volume controller
Quality is good, does not take much space. The only problem is that it moves too easily, there should be more resistance from the pot. Better volume indicator (than silver dot on silver top) would be welcomed. Also, the unit should be much more heavier as sometimes it moves under the weight of attached cables.

After years of usage not a single worry! I totally recommend this product. Before I had some SPL active unit which turned out to shred the sound.

Great volume control
Had to go for this as I don't have volume knobs either on my monitors and interface. The Pilot is 100% passive so you won't loose anything when the sound's going through. Gotta say that I'd appreciate plugging cables directly to my monitors and interface, don't like having too much cables and adaptors, that's a disadvantage from my point of view but overall it's a great peace of equipment, it looks great on your table and the construction is very solid. Highly recommend!

Excellent volume controller
This is a great piece for controlling the volume coming from your audio interface. I used to use the software controller but this can be tedious, especially if you need to reduce the volume quickly.
Works great!!!!

great passive volume control
My sound card is connected directly to the power amp which I can't reach easily. Level Pilot is exactly what I needed to control the volume, without introducing any additional devices with op amps which could degrade the signal. It is perfectly transparent and it has a nice feel to it.
