Poor quality

This is a good pedal but its let down by poor build quality.
The jack inputs are plastic and will not last in my opinion.
Otherwise the unit seems sound but apart from the blue upper casing its mostly plastic and may not stand the test of constant gigging.

4 months great then big problem
La logue 16.06.2022
Loved this pedal, added so much to my performance and overall vocal quality. Only bought it back in february, but the past 2 gigs a MAJOR problem occurred. Without any sort of warning it randomly created a HUGE explosion of buzzing / feedback that nearly blew the speaker and deafened the audience, made me look so bad. It stopped once I restarted the sound systems. Found similar complaints online, had to remove the pedal to finish the gig. I’m going to see about replacing it and pray it doesn’t happen again because when it worked it was a must-have for my set.

Caution - buzz: only working with XLR3 Cannon cables and connectors
Raga 12.05.2019
If you use a Cannon-Jack cable or a Cannon-Cannon with a Cannon-jack adaptor on the mix/amp side, you will get a lot of noise (electric BUZZ). Microphones usually work with that kind of cable/adaptor, but this Effect DOES NOT. I have an old mixer with only Jack-type inputs, and I get a big buzz which disappears only... using a different mixer. TC Helicon should write it big and clear on the effect box, which contains no instruction. An instruction leaflet can be downloaded, but still DOES NOT contain any warning about Cannon and Jack inputs.

When it works its brilliant, but high frequencies confuse it, if you whistle or input notes or unusual tones(laughter etc) into it, it breaks up adding a high digital crackle, have had to turn it off & on again many times & the tone of your vocal changes each time!

T
So good I sold the voicelive
Timddeb. 12.07.2017
Yup, after learning to use a Voicelive 3 I came across this little beauty. It does what we want, and due to the KISS principle (keep it simple stupid) less is more.
Oh sure we can no longer sound like the chipmunks, and we can't get the hard tune to work but we don't want those features in any case. Guitar pedals are easy to find and in any case our VOX VTXs give us a better end result. Add in the fact we can run it off batteries, and after a pretty short period the VL3 went off to ebay. Accurate, fast and just about perfect we love the HS2, but after a couple of years we had to send the unti backunder warranty. It keeps on randomly switching off and on.
