I
Nearly Perfect
I got this to convert a small stage monitor from passive to active. It does that OK for low level gigs but would need more power for bigger jobs. Overall this is a good little amplifier but it could be even better. Version 2 needs a few improvements:
(1) Longer output wires : 40mm isn't enough! 200mm would be nice
(2) An IEC power outlet to allow multiple units to be daisy-chained
(3) More power! 100W into 8 ohms would be good
(4) A more secure & study volume knob. The tiny brittle plastic knob on a plastic shaft pot doesn't inspire confidence or predict longevity. A larger knob on a metal shaft pot would be better.

Useful small power amp.
Small and convenient power amp. Packs a decent punch for it's size. Sound is clear. It's easy to mount. All the features are perfect except for the lack of an output. There looks to be room inside the unit for an output to be fitted. I use it as a pedalboard power amp so I would have preferred a dedicated output. However the speaker wires would work perfectly for other applications.

Great value amp, needs a couple of design mods
I installed this in a speaker cab to drive a 12" Celestion Greenback G12H and I'm (surprisingly) pleased with the sound, especially considering I'm comparing it with a valve amp, so I'd definitely recommend it - and very good value for the price too.
On the design side some have commented on the volume knob position, and I'd change two things: firstly, as others have pointed out, the speaker lead wires are way too short, and probably should be terminated in a simple connection block anyway; secondly a very small thing but two of the mounting holes are badly positioned making screwdriver access tricky, especially in a confined space like inside a cab...that's picky btw!
That's it - good stuff Thomann, thanks for making kit like this available and at a really good price too.
