OK for the price

Generally, it works fine. Decent range and acceptable sound quality. There are, however, some issues with it:

- The battery cover won't close if using rechargeable batteries, as they are a bit larger than regular batteries. With rechargeable batteries, you have to keep the cover open.
- It needs a high input level. The line output from my Scarlett 2i4 was too low to be usable, so I had to use the headphone output instead.
- Unsure if the limiter works. I've tried triggering the limiter, but the "limiter" sign never comes on, and I certainly don't hear it in the headphones.
- Not much of a squelch. Make sure to turn the receiver off first, then the transmitter. Otherwise, you'll get really loud noise from the iems.

And now a note about 863 mHz devices. Some of the frequencies used by this product are also used in consumer wireless headphones and such. This makes it somewhat compatible with other products you may have at home, but you may also hear your neighbour's TV on your iem.

Not the best but it works at a very low price.

I'm using this as a not critical voice monitoring sound distribution on location.

Cons are : it's a bit noisy, input led meters are off, very few options to work with, range is not immense, sound quality and overall sturdiness are lacking.

Pros are: price is very competitive, it works with little to no fuss.

Still haven't tried it powered by batteries.

I wouldn't use it in critical applications, but then, I don't.

IEM 100

The system looks good and would be good for most situations if not the excessive level of noise on the receiver. It didn't matter what volume I set on the receiver it was very noisy, and I couldn't change it adjusting sources and signal level on the transmitter. On a noisy stage it might be ok, but for quiet situations noise is irritating, especially with earphones.

If you're starting out in the world of IEM's...
Anonymous 20.02.2015
This was purchased a good few years ago now, and since then I've upgraded to the Sennheiser range of IEM's which doesnt even compare, but at four times the price you wouldn't expect it to!

The IEM100 is perfect if you're new to IEM's and don't want to spend the cash on something expensive that will sit in a box because you didn't get on with it. Incredibly simple to use (just check frequencies before purchasing) and has an okay sound. I personally found it a little quiet but then my band at the time were loud!

I'd also invest in moulded plugs if you can afford to, as these do make a massive difference to the sound.

For the price, these are great, but if you want that sonic quality then its worth looking at a higher priced IEM.

Good value for the money

Pro's: easy handling, easy setup, good battery life, good coverage
Con's: a constant hiss but you get used to it. The AC adapter is a bit fragile (after 2 years the plug is a bit wiggly)

I recomend it to anyone, but with t-bone ep4 headphones... huge difference in sound.

Budget price, Budget Sound. But Very workable!
Anonymous 02.05.2016
For under £200, this kit cannot really be criticised.

It comes with a very flimsy feeling receiver pack, and a very high quality transmitter. The accompanying case was alright, albeit a little small.

The sound on this is acceptable. Essentially, the radio compression on the bass is pretty bad. any heavy kicks, or bass notes and you will have the rest of your mix side chained into silence.
The mix will also be accompanied by a sizeable amount of "Hiss". Nothing rectifies this, and it seems a byproduct of the price of this unit.
Despite all this, as a first IEM system, I can't really not recommend it. However, it does make some parts of performing more difficult as you aim to concentrate on the imperfect mix.

use with caution, but definitely workable!

Good starting point.

If your new to IEM`s then this is a good entry level buy. The units are well made and they give a great sound for the price. The packs are made of plastic so you need to take care of them, cant seem them handling a drop to the floor too well.

The best upgrade you can make is to get better headphones, the ones that come with the unit are just OK.

Overall a good place to start and well worth the money.

I use it for live gigs in small clubs. It sounds OK and the setup is easy. the only flaw is the quality of the included headphones. change them for anything else and you will be fine

Good for the price

They are good for the price, you can hear what you need but don't expect a crystal sound. There is some noise and frequency disturbance.
